New Shelves

Here is the newest addition to our kitchen, Bruce worked hard today and put in shelves for me in what use to be our coat closet. It works out so nice. Now you might wonder what we did with our coats , well they are in the garage on a rod that he put up today also. It is nice and we really needed the room. Of course Beckham had to get in the picture too as he helped with  the construction..... :) any way thought maybe you would like to see what we do on a Sat. around here, some weekends. Love to All,

Well here is the newest "member to the kitchen" thanks to Matt and Meggan. Because they are staying with us for a while, they have felt the need to pay in kind and my dish washer was having issues with leaking and not getting the dishes clean, so on Sat. we went out with Meg and picked out one and it came today.... it is soooooo nice. It is soooo quiet too. I really love it and I am very Thankful for their generosity. We have enjoyed Meggan and kids being with us and things are going well.  It has been fun.

The other thing that I have been busy with is the dresses you see in the beginning of this post, the pink one is for Caitlyn, and the green is for Lorelia.... they have been fun to do.

So any way that is what is new here. Hope all is well with you ....

Love,
Katrina

Good Week

It has been a good week, busy but not so bad as it has been as of late. Meggan and kids moved in last Monday with us to stay for a bit until probably Oct., Matt 's job in Alaska is going well and Meg and kids are doing well here I think. Of course she has had her moments with the kids and missing her hubby, but all in all she has done well in my book. I think all my girls have struggled this week a little bit  as Jen has been fighting sick kids, a husband out to sea, and not feeling well her self. But her husband is back now, and the kids are feeling better, and hopefully she is getting some rest. Stacie and family are going through their own hard times, Marc has been trying to find work for the last several months, and finally got an interview with WalMart, but it happens to be up where her parents live, so he has been up there waiting to see if he got the job. So Stacie has been home with some kids, (Hannah is up with Marc visiting her grandparents.) Any way I think Stacie has been kinda struggling too this week.  All in all the girls have had a rough week. I on the other hand have had a good week, the kids have been great and I have enjoyed Meggan pushing me to go for walks each day with her and the kids. I really can't believe it is the weekend already, it has gone fast.  Any way that is about it from our home this week. Hope it has been a good one for all of you.

What A Week.....

It has been an awesome week, many high points and very tiring at times too, but that is to be expected when there are 6 grand kids and 6 adults all in one house. We are blessed to have them all and we wouldn't want to change a thing.
As I reflect on tomorrow being the 4th of July and what it means to me, I am so thankful to be living in the USA, the freedoms we have , the blessings this country is to all of us who live here, and the sacrifices that have taken place to keep it that way. I am proud of my country and the men and woman that defend it in my behalf. We as a family will be getting together tomorrow after church for a family BBQ and to celebrate the day. It is also Marc and Stacie and the kids last day as they will return to their home in Idaho tomorrow evening. It may be one of the last times we get to have them down for a long time to come. Marc has been out of work for a while now and finally has an interview with a new Walmart that is going up in the area where Stacie's parents live, his interview is Monday afternoon and although we don't wish for them to be so far away, we know Marc must support his family any way he can. So we send them home, with best wishes and prayers and hope that maybe he will have a job by the end of the week.
Another event that has taken place in our kids lives is that our youngest son Matt, has taken a job in Alaska, and his family didn't move with him, so they will be moving in with us this coming week/weekend to be with us for a while. Meg, B and C will be taking our down stairs for a bit and altho it is a change for us, we open our arms and home to them.
Jenny and her children will be joining us in a couple of months also, soooo our home is never with out children even tho we have officially been empty Nester's for a while. :)
Well before I end this I wanted you to see the desert we will be tasting tomorrow in our celebrations. May God Bless America.....
