My post today is about hat's. I have a good friend who is going through Chemo right now and has been since Nov. I believe. Any way I wanted to show her my love and support and decided to make a couple of hats for her , for when she lost her hair. I looked on line and found this pattern to make "Hope Hats" for chemo patients. I made her 3 back in Nov. and gave them to her. Well this past month her daughter came to visit me and told me that her mother loves her hats that I made and she wears them all the time to her treatments, and the people there just love them and some of the patients wanted to know where they could get them. She told them that a lady in her church had made them for her. Well after she told me this I decided that I would make a few and donate them to the center in honor of my friend. And because my dad is also going through Chemo I want to honor him as well. I don't know that I will make one for him tho, as he has been bald for years. (sorry dad :] ) Any way they are a great hat and are so much fun to make. The site that I got the pattern from is www.knittingonthenet.com/patterns/hatchemo.htm designed by Rita Gaudiello so if any of you are looking for a good pattern here is one.
